The bees have integrated and everything is looking good! A good number of Hive #1’s bees got locked out of their hive when it got stacked on Hive #2 and those bees took of residence in our extra box we left in the spot of Hive #1. So we stacked those on top of the big hive to make a super mega hive.
Also we spotted the queen bee! She is circled in one of the photos. She has a long butt which makes her easier to spot. We saw a good gradient of eggs, larvae and young bees in the brood chamber to confirm our queen is laying regularly. Things are going well! We will check in one more time before the wedding festivities go bonanzas, then they’re on their own for a month.
